Planix Projects were engaged to undertake the due diligence to support the potential purchase of 233 Castlereagh Street, 332 Pitt Street and 241Castlereagh Street, Sydney for redevelopment of the sites for a high-rise mixed-use development.
The design was for verticality of significant scale combined with the desire to create an iconic vertical China Town called “China Centre”. It will have a height of 240 meters by subtly twisting and turning towards the spectacular 360 views.
The 8-level commercial/retail podiums with sculptured organic voids will mimic the luxury commercial centres around the world. The retail component of the China Centre will become a major tourist attraction for both local and international tourists wanting to experience a slice of China, in a new contemporary way.
