School Infrastructure NSW – Project 1

Due to the confidential nature of School Infrastructure (SINSW) Planning projects, specific details including the name and location of this project cannot be published. The scope for SINSW Planning Project 1 included the refurbishment and expansion of the existing High School’s core facilities and provision of increased permanent teaching spaces. The project objective is to increase the school’s capacity from 1200 to 2000 students to meet the increased demand in the school’s catchment.
Planix Projects were engaged to lead the consultant team through Master planning Phase to develop the Strategic Business Case. The Strategic Business Case has been submitted to NSW Treasury for approval for funding to proceed to Concept design Phase and Final Business Case.
Key components of the project scope were as follows:
• Upgrading core facilities from Stream 7 to Stream 12
• Refurbishment of existing teaching spaces to meet current standards
• Create 63 permanent teaching spaces
