BaptistCare engaged Planix Projects to manage the delivery of the refurbishment of Shalom Centre in Macquarie Park.
The project was delivered in a live environment with differing care levels wing to wing. Due to the sensitivity of keeping the facility operation during the construction, the refurbishment was managed through daily communication with the facility, additional resourcing and pre-approved methodologies implemented for each individual wing. The scope of works included:

• Staged refurbishment works
• Demolition and replacement of eight serveries and kitchenettes
• Replacement of all common area flooring and lighting
• Painting of all walls and doors throughout the facility
• Reconfiguration of ceilings and fire services to facilitate lighting up-grades
• Dementia specific landscaping, lighting and wayfinding in four wings
